VE Day - Celebration -Notice of Road Closure

As part of the VE Day celebrations organised by the management of The Crook and Shears Pub and assisted by The Upper Clatford Parish Council an application has been made to TVBC for a road closure on Village Street on two days, 9th and 10th May between the hours of 1200hrs and 2400hrs. Only the area directly outside the pub will be affected. If you live in the lane opposite you will be unable to move cars to or from your houses after 1200hrs on both days. Temporary car parking has been arranged with the village hall.

Those houses not directly opposite the pub will be able to use their cars normally but cannot drive past the pub during the 2 day closure period as noted above.

We realise that this may adversely affect you and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause but we hope that you will support this closure which will enable the community to celebrate VE day.

Emergency vehicles will have complete access.
