Message from Southern Water:

"We are investing across Hampshire to protect the environment and secure resilient water supplies. This includes new pipelines to move water around our network to where we need it most.

Our Andover Link Main will connect our Winchester and Andover Water Resources Zones for the fi­rst time.

This new 22.5km below-ground pipeline will run from our Crab Wood Water Service Reservoir (WSR), west of Winchester to our Micheldever Road WSR, just outside Andover.

We’ve worked with planning authorities and regulators to develop our scheme – and are currently engaging with local landowners.

Ahead of applying for planning permission later this year, we’re engaging with local residents and stakeholders to share information and ask for their feedback. This includes two virtual briefings for local councillors and parish councillors and three in-person events.

Briefings and events

We’d like to invite you to join our project team for a virtual stakeholder briefing. These will be held on Microsoft Teams on:

Tuesday 23rd September: 14:00 to 15:30

Friday 26th September: 15:00 to 16:30

Our teams will give a presentation about the scheme before answering your questions.

We’re also hosting drop-in events along the pipeline route for members of the community, residents, stakeholders and business owners to learn more about our plans and speak to our teams:
